Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (non-injury) received a veteran's rest day off practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Just the weekly rest day for the 35-year-old Gore, who, as expected, has been receiving close to 10 touches per game in back of starter Kenyan Drake. Expect that to continue with the Dolphins 2-0 and the Miami rushing attack ranked sixth the league at 127.5 yards per contest.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:47pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore rushed nine times for 25 yards in Week 2 against the New York Jets and he added one catch for 19 yards.

Huddle Up: The veteran Gore will spell Kenyan Drake when he needs a breather, but he is no longer the bellcow. He can be a decent low-end RB3 in deeper fantasy leagues, maybe more if Drake is ever forced out due to injury. The Dolphins host the Raiders in Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 8:33am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (non-injury) received a veteran's rest day from practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Gore may not always agree with the weekly rest days, but that's how the Dolphins are proceeding with the 35-year-old back. Gore did look spry in his Dolphins debut Sunday, rushing for 61 yards on nine carries, but is best rostering as a bench option right now, particularly for Kenyan Drake owners.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 6:47pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore rushed nine times for a team-high 61 yards in a 27-20 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Kenyan Drake was the lead back, but Gore was more efficient with his carries. Keep Gore on your bench in case something happens to Drake, but the veteran doesn't need to be starting.

  • Posted: 9/7/2018 11:13am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (Achilles') fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.

Huddle Up: Gore will be splitting playing time with Kenyan Drake during the game but probably will only be used on first and second downs. He could be a flex option in some deeper standard leagues, but owners in most leagues should have better options available.

  • Posted: 9/7/2018 8:58am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (Achilles) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 7, after sitting out the previous day.

Huddle Up: Reports had the 35-year-old Gore taking a rest day Thursday, and given that he's back at it Friday means you can count on him playing in Sunday's opener and likely stealing an RB4 share of production away from starter Kenyan Drake.

  • Posted: 9/6/2018 12:16pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (Achilles', non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: It appears like Gore received a day off and should be available to play in Week 1. He will be sharing playing time with Kenyan Drake this season but should see a decent amount of carries during games. He could be a flex option in standard leagues this week, but owners can keep him on the bench if they have better options.

  • Posted: 9/6/2018 9:27am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (rest) was given a rest day from practice Thursday, Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: Much to the chagrin of Kenyan Drake owners, the 35-year-old Gore is expected to cut into Drake's touches but not enough to be used as standalone flex option in the majority of leagues.

  • Posted: 9/5/2018 1:03pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (Achilles') was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Huddle Up: Gore appears to be on track to play in Week 1 against the Titans, but he'll be the primary backup to Kenyan Drake. The 35-year-old former Miami Hurricanes standout is long in the tooth and should only be used for fantasy depth now that he is well into the downside of his career.

  • Posted: 9/4/2018 1:55pm ET

Miami Dolphins RBs Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore are listed as co-starters on Miami's initial depth chart.

Huddle Up: Adam Gase is still messing with our heads, but make no mistake- Drake is the Miami running back to own this year. He was a PPR RB1 when featured later on last year. Gore will dig into his playing time some, but Drake commands RB2 attention.

  • Posted: 8/29/2018 12:02pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore is still expected to be a key part of the team's offense despite the fact head coach Adam Gase is expecting RB Kenyan Drake to see 15-20 carries and 6-8 targets out of the backfield.

Huddle Up: Gore will still be a major factor in the team's ground game, particularly around the goal line. He could be a huge touchdown vulture after Drake does the heavy lifting to get into the red zone. He'll also spell the young buck, and an ideal balance sees Gore receiving 8-10 touches per game. If that comes into fruition, Gore is nothing more than a low-end RB3 in most standard formats. Keep in mind that Drake has had a propensity for injury, so Gore is an outstanding handcuff option, too.

  • Posted: 8/22/2018 8:48pm ET

Miami Dolphins RBs Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore will 'both play a lot,' according to The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Huddle Up: As much as the fantasy community has wanted Drake to emerge as the featured back and Gore to serve as his mentor, Miami has dropped hints all summer that both players would be heavily involved. Drake obviously boasts the most upside and could easily make Gore less of a factor as the season goes on if he starts out fast, but there is no way owners can justify the former going in the fourth round and the latter going undrafted in a lot of leagues. For now, consider Drake a volatile RB2 and Gore a low-end flex.

  • Posted: 8/19/2018 10:56am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore said he plans to play in the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 25.

Huddle Up: Gore does not need a lot of preseason time to prepare for the regular season. He is expected to split playing time with Kenyan Drake this season and could receive a decent amount of carries in 2018. He may be a flex option in some standard leagues.

  • Posted: 8/5/2018 12:24pm ET

Miami Dolphins RBs Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore both appeared atop the team's first depth chart Sunday, Aug. 5.

Huddle Up: This comes with the obvious caveat that depth charts released a month before the first game aren't worth very much in the overall scheme of things. However, it does suggest Gore is pushing Drake hard in camp even though the latter has spent the past two weeks working with the first-team offense. Drake should still be considered the favorite to lead this team in all rushing categories, but owners need to set their expectations at a RB2 level and understand he will probably lose at least 100 to 150 touches to Gore.

  • Posted: 7/9/2018 8:05am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore wasn't brought in to strictly be a mentor for RB Kenyan Drake, and Gore will be mixed in the offense. Head coach Adam Gase said Gore turning 35 this season was irrelevant because he's a different player.

Huddle Up: Gore probably won't be used as often unless Drake breaks down. Look for him in a part-time role with some weeks of 50-50 split potential. Gore is an RB4 or RB5 with little upside.

  • Posted: 6/1/2018 10:55am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake will not be guaranteed a starting job in 2018 as he battles Frank Gore in camp, according to comments made by running backs coach Eric Studesville to The Miami Herald this week.

Huddle Up: The Herald's Armando Salguero went so far as to say the Dolphins will determine the roles in training camp during what will be 'more a competition than coronation.' While Drake still remains the favorite, Gore didn't sign with Miami to be a little-used backup. Miami is also reportedly smitten with Kalen Ballage and his potential, although Salguero emphasizes he will not push for the top spot right away. Drake should lead the backfield in touches, but Gore figures to be a drain on his fantasy value.

  • Posted: 5/23/2018 6:03pm ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore likely will not participate in many team drills during offseason workouts, according to head coach Adam Gase.

Huddle Up: The team probably wants to keep Gore fresh for the regular season, so Kenyan Drake should receive plenty of work during workouts. Gore will share playing time with Drake but could see a majority of the carries. Gore has a chance to be a No. 3 or No. 4 back for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 3/22/2018 1:04pm ET

Free-agent RB Frank Gore (Colts) agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins Thursday, March 22, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Gore likely will serve as a backup to Kenyan Drake in 2018 but could receive some touches during games. He may be a late-round pick in deeper standard leagues but proobably will not be a big factor for owners.

  • Posted: 3/22/2018 5:50am ET

Free-agent RB Frank Gore (Colts) is visiting the Miami Dolphins Thursday, March 22.

Huddle Up: Gore can still be useful in fantasy if he receives volume carries. He might top out as an RB3, but there isn't a lot of upside.

  • Posted: 3/14/2018 6:52pm ET

Free-agent RB Frank Gore (Colts) is close to reaching a contract agreement with Detroit Lions, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Gore is one of several veteran running backs that the Lions have met with this offseason. He could receive most of the carries if he joined the Lions but would have to share work with Theo Riddick and Ameer Abdullah. Gore could be a No. 3 running back in standard leagues if the deal is finalized.

  • Posted: 3/7/2018 2:37pm ET

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Frank Gore would like to sign with a contender this offseason and wants to be a starter or a significant contributor for a team since he believes he probably has only one more season left, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Gore has been a solid running back for the last several seasons, but it is not known if he will be able to find a starting job in free agency. He can be a No. 3 fantasy running back in standard leagues if he receives a solid role with a team.

  • Posted: 3/1/2018 5:07am ET

Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Frank Gore was informed by general manager Chris Ballard that he won't be re-signed by the Colts.

Huddle Up: He turns 35 in May, and he could still be useful in a smaller role on a team. He cleared 100 yards in two of his last four games and could serve as fantasy depth at the position.

  • Posted: 2/28/2018 12:10pm ET

Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Frank Gore is unlikely to return. Indy Star writer Zak Keefer said Colts head coach Frank Reich 'all but confirms the Colts are moving on from Gore' after Reich fielded questions Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the 2018 Scouting Combine.

Huddle Up: No surprise here. Gore turns 35 this year and will be used only in select situations, provided he is even able to find a 2018 home. He is no more than fantasy roster depth.

  • Posted: 2/21/2018 12:12pm ET

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Frank Gore is not expected to be re-signed. Gore will turn 35 years old this offseason but still wants to play. He is just 75 yards shy of reaching fourth on the NFL's all-time rushing list.

Huddle Up: Gore is nearing the end of his road in the NFL, but he's not completely washed up. At worst he can be used in short-yardage and goal-line situations. That being said, he is at best a late-round flex for fantasy purposes, wherever he plays.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 2:23pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Gore has been a decent option for fantasy owners this season and can be a flex option in standard leagues this week against the Houston Texans.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 1:45pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Gore has been receiving practices off throughout the season and will be fine for Week 17. He has posted consistent numbers so far this season and could be a flex option for owners in standard leagues.

  • Posted: 12/26/2017 3:50pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore must rush for 139 yards in Week 17 to reach 1,000 rushing yards on the season. If he does reach 1,000 yards it will be the tenth time in his career he has reached the 1,000-yard mark in his career.

Huddle Up: Gore is an iron man. While his production has decreased as he has aged, he has not missed a game since 2011. As incredible as his longevity has been, the fact that he will be 35 years old next season makes him a risky draftee in what will be his 14th season.

  • Posted: 12/26/2017 6:36am ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore has a good matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 17 as the Texans have allowed the most points to the position over the last five weeks.

Huddle Up: Gore had 68 yards on 17 carries and two catches for 18 yards and a score in Week 16. He has just four touchdowns on the season, though, and that will limit his upside. He's a low-end RB2 for the finale.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 4:36pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed for 68 yards on 17 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16. He also caught two passes for 18 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Huddle Up: Gore has been pretty consistent in terms of his rushing yards this season but has been involved in the passing game over the last few weeks. He be considered a flex option in deeper leagues next week.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 2:46pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) was given his usual day off of practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Gore needs to average just over 103 rushing yards in the Colts' final two games in order to reach the 1,000-yard rushing plateau. He's only eclipsed 100 yards in a game once this year, so don't count on him to reach that feat. That said, he's a desperation flex in fantasy title games.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 10:00pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore gained 31 yards on 10 carries and added three receptions for 37 yards against the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Maybe we shouldn't be surprised that the 34-year-old was worn down after carrying the ball 36 times just four days earlier. It promises to be tough going again in Week 16 against a stout Baltimore Ravens defense, leaving Gore as an RB3 or flex option with a pretty low ceiling.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 1:32pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest, hand) was able to practice in full Wednesday, Dec. 13, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Gore will be facing the league's third-ranked rush defense, as Denver allows just 89.5 yards per game on the ground with six rushing touchdowns and seven runs of 20 or more yards. The six TDs are tied for second-lowest in the NFL. Treat Gore more as a RB3 or flex play in Week 15.

  • Posted: 12/12/2017 3:39pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest, hand) was held out of practice Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: Gore saw a season-high 36 carries in Week 14 in the snowstorm versus the Buffalo Bills. It's hard for any running back to be effective after a workload like that, much less a 34-year-old on a short week. Gore can't be viewed as more than a flex.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 3:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (hand) fully participated in practice Monday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: Gore received a lot of carries in Week 14 and was able to record his first 100-yard game of the season. He will continue to be a big part of the Colts offense and could be a flex option in deeper standard leagues.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 2:14pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed for 130 yards on 36 carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. He also caught one pass for 10 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: Gore was the major part of the Colts offense this week because of the weather conditions and made the most out of his opportunity. He will continue to receive a solid amount of carries and can be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 1:20pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) returned to practice and was a full participant Friday, Dec. 8. He has been removed from the injury report for Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Gore received a recovery day, which isn't unusual for veterans. He'll be a decent RB3 or flex option against the Bills. Buffalo ranks 25th in the NFL against the rush, allowing 120.4 yards per game while yielding an NFL-high 18 rushing touchdowns.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 2:51pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Gore has been receiving days off during the season but has been able to play every game. Owners should know what to expect if they start Gore because he has been pretty consistent in terms of his yards this season. He could be a flex option for owners on standard leagues.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 7:14pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 13 times for 61 yards in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and he did not have any receptions or targets.

Huddle Up: Gore continues to see a healthy amount of touches, and his 4.7 yards per rush were his most in four games. However, he is starting to look like a 34-year-old running back on the downside of his career, and the leaky offensive line is not helping. He is nothing more as a RB3 or flex fantasy play at this point.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 2:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Gore rushed for his first touchdown for the first time in eight games but has rushed for at least 65 yards in only one game this season. He could be a flex option in deeper standard leagues but can also be benched if owners have better options.

  • Posted: 11/30/2017 1:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) was held out of practice Thursday, Nov. 30.

Huddle Up: Gore turned in one of his best performances of the year last week with 79 total yards and a touchdown. However, he is still averaging 3.5 yards per carry on the year and has yet to surpass 100 rushing yards in a game. Gore is a flex at best.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 3:12pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 17 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans and he added two receptions for 17 yards on five targets.

Huddle Up: Gore rushed for a touchdown for the first time since Week 3 against the Browns after being blanked in each of the past seven outings. He should hang onto the starting job for the balance of the season, though, as Marlon Mack had a costly miscue on a pitch from Jacoby Brissett late which cost the Colts the game.

  • Posted: 11/24/2017 4:59pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Gore is receiving a lot of carries during games but usually posts only between 45 to 60 yards during games. He could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues but can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 12:50pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Gore has been receiving practices off during the season and should be able to play in Week 12. He has posted consistent numbers this season but has rushed for more than 60 yards only once in 10 games. Gore can be a flex option on some leagues but could also be benched if owners have better options available.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 12:49pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 10, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

Huddle Up: Gore continues to be main threat in the running game for the Colts but has rushed for at least 60 yards in only one game this season. Gore can be a flex option in deeper leagues but is not a must-start option for owners.

  • Posted: 11/9/2017 2:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) had his off day from practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: At this point in the season and in Gore's career, he's becoming a fantasy afterthought. He receives a respectable amount of touches every game, but he's only scored twice and is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry. With Marlon Mack inevitably taking over, Gore is no more than a flex.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 3:12pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 17 times for 51 yards in Week 9 against the Houston Texans and he added three grabs for 26 yards on four targets.

Huddle Up: Gore only averaged 3.0 yards per carry, but rookie Marlon Mack was good for just 3.2 yards. Mack might get more of a look down the stretch at Gore's expense, but for right now the veteran remains clearly atop the depth chart. He had 20 total touches to nine for the rookie.

  • Posted: 11/3/2017 1:30pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 3, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Huddle Up: Gore has been consistent in his production this season but has not posted big numbers to this point. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues, but owners likely have better options available to use in their lineups.

  • Posted: 11/2/2017 12:37pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 2.

Huddle Up: Gore has been receiving practices off each week but should be ready to play in Week 9. He is coming off his best game of the season in Week 8 and will continue to receive most of the carries for the Colts. He will be facing a tough Houston Texans defense this week but can be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/30/2017 6:38pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore could be dealt leading up to the trade deadline, as 'at least two teams' have discussed the possibility of trading for him, according to a league source. Gore is in the final season of a three-year contract and a suitor would only be on the hook for $1.75 million of his salary for the second half of the campaign.

Huddle Up: If Gore were to be traded to a contending team, he'd most likely see a drop in his value, as he'd probably land in a spot that would see him become more of a part-time player. Even if he isn't traded, Gore's stock is clearly trending down with youngster Marlon Mack impressing as of late and getting more work as a result. Either way, his outlook isn't very promising for the second half.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 6:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 16 times for a season-high 82 yards in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals and he added four catches for 19 yards on his four targets.

Huddle Up: It's the first time Gore cracked triple digits in total scrimmage yardages this season, although he failed to score for the fifth consecutive game. He took advantage of the sloppy conditions in Cincinnati with his team using a run-heavy offense. The Colts will head to Houston in Week 9, so continue to treat him more as a RB3 or flex fantasy play in most formats.
