Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Amendola appeared to have good chemistry with Brock Osweiler last week and finished with eight catches for 59 yards. He is not a must-start option, but owners in deeper point-per-reception leagues could consider Amendola a flex option.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 12:20pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: Amendola is coming off his best game in 2018 and was targeted 11 times in that game. He could be a popular target for Brock Osweiler but may only be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 2:00pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (not injury related) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Amendola was simply getting some time off due to his veteran status, and probably due to his penchant for injury, too. He is expected to be ready for the Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions so start him as you normally would.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 4:25pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola finished with eight receptions for 59 yards on 11 targets in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Amendola was busy on the short routes, racking up plenty of catches. He remains a solid WR4 in most PPR leagues, with lesser value in standard play. The Dolphins host the Lions in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/5/2018 11:10am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Huddle Up: Amendola should continue to be used as the slot receiver for the Dolphins and will see a handful of targets this week. He could be a flex option in some point-per-reception leagues but can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 11:49am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Amendola has been targeted at least five times in only one game this season and has not posted 50 yards in any game in 2018. He can be kept on the bench until he posts better numbers.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 12:28pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Amendola recorded a season high in receiving yards last week but it was only 42 yards. He has caught 11 of his 13 targets this season but has recorded 100 receiving yards. Owners should be able to find better options and keep Amendola on the bench.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 12:34pm ET

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Amendola has caught eight of his 10 targets during the early part of the season but has only 58 yards during that span. He probably will have a favorable matchup this week but should not be more than a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 8:39am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) returned to practice Thursday, Sept. 20, after being given a rest day the previous day.

Huddle Up: Amendola leads the team in receptions so far with eight, but they've been quiet, producing only 58 yards and no TDs. He best belongs on the bench in the majority of leagues until his production picks up.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 1:58pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (not injury related) was not on the practice field Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: It was likely a veteran's rest, which is typical during mid-week practices, especially for those with a propensity for injury. Check back later in the week. When healthy, Amendola is a decent WR4 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues, with lesser value in standard play.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:52pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola posted four receptions for 32 yards in the Week 2 game against the New York Jets on four targets.

Huddle Up: Amendola is a solid short-yardage receiver capable of piling up the receptions, but neither his catch total or his yardage total was anything to jump up and down about in this one. Treat him as a WR4 in deeper PPR fantasy formats heading into Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 11:52am ET

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Amendola probably will receive days off from practice during the season but will be ready to play most weeks. He probably will serve as the slot receiver for the Dolphins this week but should only be a flex option in deeper point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 8:24am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) returned to practice Thursday, Sept. 13, after sitting out of the previous day's workouts.

Huddle Up: Amendola didn't overwhelm in his Miami debut Sunday, catching four of his six targets for 26 yards, but is a solid WR2/flex consideration in Week 2 vs. the N.Y. Jets.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 3:04pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: It appears like Amendola was receiving a day off and probably will be back on the field later this week. He caught four passes for 26 in Week 1 and probably will see a decent amount of targets this week. He could be a flex option in some deeper point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 9/1/2018 11:39am ET

The Miami Dolphins are going with WRs Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson as their five wideouts heading into the regular season.

Huddle Up: Amendola can still be a solid option in PPR formats, while Stills is decent in deeper leagues and those formats rewarding longer touchdowns. Parker also has fantasy value if he can remain healthy, something which has been an issue in his career. Grant and Wilson have some appeal, but can mostly be left to the waiver wire for now.

  • Posted: 8/25/2018 7:33pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola caught two of his four targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in a 27-10 preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Aug. 25.

Huddle Up: With Jarvis Landry now in Cleveland, Amendola is set to be the starting slot receiver this year. His injury history is a concern, but he is worth owning in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 8/5/2018 6:44pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola is listed as the No. 3 receiver on the first depth chart released Sunday, Aug. 5.

Huddle Up: The initial depth chart is another sign that Amendola is positioned to be the starting slot receiver this season. He isn't going to replace Jarvis Landry, but he needs to be rostered in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 6/18/2018 11:50pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola is 'speaking loudest by his actions or demeanor' more than any other teammate in the early going, as he brings the 'same off-the-charts level of intensity' to each practice. He's been staying on the field as long as anyone, works solo on 'some unique drills,' and when something happens to not go his way, 'there is a brief outburst that screams of how much he cares.'

Huddle Up: Amendola's passion and intensity has never been in question but they are two traits that have helped enable the 32-year-old to enjoy a very solid NFL career -- when he's on the field, that is. If Amendola can remain healthy, he'll be one of the main fantasy contributors from this Dolphins team. Improved quarterback play with Ryan Tannehill back under center figures to help Amendola potentially maintain WR3 value.

  • Posted: 6/6/2018 6:40pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola likely will be used as a situational punt returner for the Dolphins this season, according to special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.

Huddle Up: Amendola should have a solid role in the passing game as a slot receiver. He could be a late-round in deeper leagues but would be a little more valuable in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 5/17/2018 7:15pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola's work ethic has been impressing the coaching staff and rubbing off on the locker room, according to head coach Adam Gase. 'Any time you can get a guy who can not only produce for you but can be a great example for other guys in your locker room, he's making other guys better,' Gase said. 'He makes 24 other offensive guys better if they watch him work.'

Huddle Up: Amendola should have a steady role as Miami's slot receiver this year, but injuries are always a concern. He's a potential WR3 in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 5/14/2018 10:08am ET

Miami Dolphins WRs Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson will be candidates to return punts this upcoming season, according to special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.

Huddle Up: Amendola and Wilson will have roles in the passing game, so their work as returners probably would be limited. Amendola has a chance to be a late-round option in deeper leagues, while Wilson probably can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 4/14/2018 8:18pm ET

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola said New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick's unwillingness to give him a competitive offer caused him to sign with the Dolphins in free agency. 'When free agency broke, I came to the realization that he wasn't going to really come close to any of the other offers I had,' Amendola said.

Huddle Up: If Amendola can actually stay on the field, he should slide into the slot to replace Jarvis Landry in Miami. He will have WR3 potential, especially in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 3/13/2018 11:31am ET

Free-agent WR Danny Amendola (Patriots) is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: This is somewhat of a surprise. Amendola joins one of the New England Patriots' division rivals, but he will have a significant role with the absence of Jarvis Landry. If he can stay healthy, Amendola possesses WR3 appeal at best.

  • Posted: 2/28/2018 3:26pm ET

New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Danny Amendola said he hopes to play in 2018 and that it would ideally be with the Patriots.

Huddle Up: Amendola had a solid 2017 season when he finished with 659 yards and two touchdowns. He likely would be a slot receiver if he returns to the Patriots and could be a late-round option in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 2/24/2018 6:24pm ET

New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Danny Amendola will likely re-sign with the Patriots if he decides to play another season, in the opinion of Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.

Huddle Up: Amendola had another impressive run in the playoffs, but he is injury prone and has never put up big numbers during the regular season. He is valuable to New England's offense, but he is no more than a WR5 for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 2/4/2018 7:32pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola caught eight of his 11 targets for 152 yards in a 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, and he caught 26 passes for 348 yards in three games this postseason.

Huddle Up: Amendola only had 659 receiving yards all year, but he was a force throughout the playoffs. He's scheduled to be a free agent this offseason, and his history suggests he'll be a depth option, at best, for fantasy owners no matter where he ends up.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 5:25pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola finished with seven receptions for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Huddle Up: One of Amendola's touchdowns came on a nice toe-tap grab in the back of the end zone. He and Brandin Cooks really picked up the slack once Rob Gronkowski went down with a head injury in the first half. He'll be a big target in the Super Bowl in Minneapolis in two weeks.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 9:36pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola caught 11 passes on 13 targets for 112 yards in a 35-14 win over the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: Amendola had more catches and more yards than he had during any game during the regular season. He could be a nice DFS sleeper next weekend in case the trend continues.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 6:48pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola managed three receptions for 28 yards on three targets in Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Amendola really fizzled down the stretch when fantasy needed him most. Over his past five games he managed just 176 receiving yards with no scores and 14 total catches.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 8:41pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola posted just 23 yards on two receptions across four targets in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: Amendola has managed just 11 grabs for 148 yards and no scores over his past four outings. That type of production makes him more of a WR4 in PPR leagues, and WR5 in standard play heading into Week 16.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 10:25pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola logged team highs in catches (six), targets (nine) and receiving yards (76) in the team's Week 14 loss Monday, Dec. 11, against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: This was Amendola's best game in a few weeks, and it was almost even better had he not been one yard short of a touchdown late in the ballgame. This was also encouraging for the former Ram, as he still garnered a lot of looks despite Chris Hogan returning from injury. However, don't put too much stock into this one, as owners need to remember Rob Gronkowski was sidelined with a one-game suspension and will be back next week.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 7:39pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola could pick up the slack with TE Rob Gronkowski suspended for the Week 14 game against the Miami Dolphins, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. When Gronkowski was sidelined in Week 5, Amendola finished with eight catches for 77 yards on a season-high 55 snaps.

Huddle Up: Amendola should see an uptick in snaps with Gronkowski sidelined, but he is far from a lock to replicate his Week 5 numbers. If you are going to gamble on him in Week 14, it should probably be in DFS formats.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 2:02pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola posted two receptions for 34 yards on four targets in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Amendola didn't help anyone in fantasy on this one, especially those who used him in PPR formats. He should be treated more as a WR4 heading into Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.

  • Posted: 11/30/2017 1:28pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 30.

Huddle Up: Amendola was hardly involved in the offense last week, but he does provide value with Chris Hogan looking unlikely to play. Brandin Cooks and Rob Gronkowski limit Amendola's targets, so start him as a WR3 or flex.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 1:58pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Huddle Up: Amendola has been limited in mid-week practices for a while now, but he has been able to fight through his nagging knee injury to play. While he laid an egg last week against Miami with just one catch, generally he is a solid WR3 or flex option in most PPR leagues when active. He has lesser appeal in standard formats.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 5:05pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola posted just one reception for 15 yards in the Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Amendola was targeted four times, but he managed just one grab. That's simply not going to do. He is a stud for fantasy owners in PPR leagues normally, but perhaps it's his nagging knee injury that is hampering him and keeping him from doing what fantasy owners are used to. Right now he should only be trusted in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 8:55am ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 12 game.

Huddle Up: Amendola should continue to be the slot receiver for the Patriots and will see a handful of targets during the game. He could be a flex option in deeper point-per-reception leagues but can be avoided in most standard leagues.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 5:53am ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is expected to play in Week 12's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Amendola was listed as questionable on the injury report but was a limited practice participant throughout the week. He should be viewed as a viable option in PPR fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 11/24/2017 1:39pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Amendola should be on the field this week despite the questionable tag and probably will receive a decent amount of targets during the game. He can be considered a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 1:30pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Amendola should be in uniform against the Miami Dolphins as long as he does not suffer a setback. He is coming off a terrific Week 11 performance and should receive a solid amount of targets against the Dolphins. Amendola should be at least a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 11/22/2017 1:33pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: Amendola has been battling an injury for a while, but the nagging knee injury hasn't kept him off the field. He is coming off his most productive fantasy performance of the season, posting eight grabs with 66 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders down in Mexico City. He did leave that game briefly due to dehydration, but he is fine and will be a nice play down the stretch for all fantasy owners, particularly those in PPR.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 12:27pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Huddle Up: Amendola has been held to 40 yards or less in each of his last four games but was targeted 18 times during that span. He should receive some targets this week but can be benched if owners have better options.

  • Posted: 11/17/2017 2:21pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Nov. 17, and is questionable for Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders.

Huddle Up: Amendola should be a decent WR4 or flex play, particularly in PPR formats, as he'll suck up targets with Chris Hogan (shoulder) once again sidelined.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 4:45pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: The appeal with rolling with Amendola is that Chris Hogan is likely to be inactive again, but in that same scenario last week, the former Ram only managed four catches on four targets for 36 yards against the Broncos. He'll have a considerably easier matchup opposite the Raiders in Week 11, but he remains a risky play regardless. Amendola is better suited for PPR formats.

  • Posted: 11/15/2017 4:52pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Huddle Up: Amendola should be in uniform this week and may see more targets with Chris Hogan not expected to play. He has been held to under 40 yards in each of the last four games but can still be a valuable option in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 5:23am ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: Amendola was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report. He is likely to see an expanded role in the offense due to WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) being ruled out and should be viewed as a solid WR3 this week, particularly in PPR fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 2:06pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 10. He is officially listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: It sounds like the team is expecting him to serve in a big role on Sunday night, so perhaps he was limited more for preservation purposes. The team needs someone to step up with Chris Hogan sidelined with a shoulder injury, and it appears Amendola will absorb most of Hogan's targets. Amendola is a solid WR3 in most fantasy formats this week, especially PPR, while Phillip Dorsett should also see a larger role and is a sleeper streaming option.

  • Posted: 11/9/2017 3:24pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: Amendola could be headed to a more significant role on Sunday night with Chris Hogan (shoulder) likely out. However, he has to prove he's healthy enough to suit up first, and even then, it won't be an easy task going up against Denver's stingy secondary. If Amendola is out along with Hogan, Phillip Dorsett would be an interesting sleeper play.

  • Posted: 11/8/2017 2:50pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Huddle Up: Amendola has hit somewhat of a wall after a decent start to the season, averaging only 24.6 yards per game over his last three games. That being said, Amendola can still be started as a flex if Chris Hogan does not play this week.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 8:58am ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) is active for Week 8's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Huddle Up: Amendola has reached the end zone just once this season and has been held to fewer than 50 receiving yards in four of his last five contests. He's not worthy of consideration as anything more than a flex option in PPR formats.
