Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) flew with the team as it prepares to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 10, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Although Gronkowski is listed as questionable on the injury report, he is not expected to go. For what it's worth, he did not fly with the team to Chicago to face the Bears in Week 7 when his back spasms first flared up. The smart play for the Patriots is to use their Week 11 bye to give their tight end the better part of four weeks to get as healthy as possible. As such, owners should have another option ready Sunday, as it is extremely likely New England would limit his snaps even if he is active.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is traveling with the team for their Week 10 game, according to a source. He is still listed as questionable to play and is not expected to be active.

Huddle Up: Owners can check out the inactive list to see if Gronkowski is playing, but the team probably will hold him out so he can have two more weeks to rest. Owners in all leagues should look for other options to use in their lineups.

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) will not play in the team's Week 10 game, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Dwayne Allen likely will receive the start at tight end with Gronkowski sidelined but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is not expected to play in Week 10's game against the Tennessee Titans, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report, though he appears to be in danger of missing his second consecutive game. The Patriots have a bye in Week 11, so the club may decide to deactivate him versus the Titans in the hopes of having him at 100 percent for Week 12's contest against the New York Jets. Dwayne Allen would get the starting nod if Gronk is unavailable but he should not be viewed as a viable option in any fantasy format.

  • Posted: 11/9/2018 1:38pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 10.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski is a risky option for owners because the Patriots may consider holding him out this week with a bye coming up. Owners will need to check the inactive list for his official status, but he can be a starting option if he plays.

  • Posted: 11/8/2018 1:57pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 8.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was not able to play last week, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation. He is a must-start option when he is healthy, but owners will need a backup plan ready in case he is ruled out again.

  • Posted: 11/7/2018 2:37pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Huddle Up: Gronk missed last week's game against the Green Bay Packers, so be very careful with him leading up to Sunday. Check the official injury designation on Friday. He is likely to be questionable, so it is probably going to come down to a gameday decision when the inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff. When healthy he is an obvious must-start option.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 7:29am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) will test out his injury during pregame warmups but there is concern that he could be held out of Week 9's game against the Green Bay Packers, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was listed as questionable on the injury report and participated in two out of three practice sessions this week on a limited basis. He remains a must-start option in all formats when he is active, although he is having a down year statistically. Dwayne Allen would likely start if Gronkowski is ruled out but he is not a great fantasy option.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 3:00pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was listed as a limited practice Friday, Nov. 2 and he is listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Gronk was able to suck it up and play in Buffalo on Monday night, but he was just so-so. As long as he is active he is a must-start in fantasy, but he has taken a big step backwards this season.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 9:22am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) returned to practice Friday, Nov. 2, after sitting out the previous day.

Huddle Up: Barring any weekend setbacks -- and Gronk owners all remember the Saturday announcement of his pending absence in Week 7 -- he will fill his usual TE1 role Sunday. Expectations, though, need to be lowered as Gronk has posted double-digit fantasy points (standard scoring) only once in seven games so far and that was back in Week 1.

  • Posted: 11/1/2018 1:46pm ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

Huddle Up: It is not known if Gronkowski is in any danger of missing the Week 9 game, so owners should continue to monitor the situation. He is a must-start option in all leagues when he is healthy.

  • Posted: 11/1/2018 10:15am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, ankle) was not seen during the portion of practice open to the media Thursday, Nov. 1.

Huddle Up: It's not a good sign when a player goes from limited work -- as Gronk put in Wednesday -- to out of practice, but the Patriots are trickier to read than most teams. We'll have a better idea on Gronk's status Friday.

  • Posted: 10/31/2018 3:36pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski has gone six straight games without a touchdown but has posted at least 75 yards in two of the last three games. He is still a No. 1 tight end all leagues, but owners probably would like to a breakout game from him.

  • Posted: 10/29/2018 9:08pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski racked up three receptions for 43 yards on eight targets in the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

Huddle Up: Gronk shook off back spasms to play in his hometown, but if not for a late tip-toe grab along the left sidelines it would have been a real dud. As it stands, it was a pretty mediocre showing for Gronkowski, who has looked like a shell of his former self this season. The Patriots host the Packers in Week 9.

  • Posted: 10/27/2018 1:04pm ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

Huddle Up: As mentioned earlier, Gronk has playing-time and statistical incentives in his contract, so he'll likely want to play as much as possible, and this game will be in his hometown against a team he has excelled against throughout his career. However, there is a chance he could be inactive and therefore he is a very risky fantasy play.

  • Posted: 10/27/2018 12:09pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, ankle) was able to practice on a limited basis Saturday, Oct. 27, and he intends on playing in the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

Huddle Up: Gronk was reportedly close to playing last week in Chicago before being ruled inactive. He likely wants to play on Monday against his hometown team, and he also has playing-time and statistical incentives in his contract that might also play a factor in his wanting to play. He is a risky fantasy play, however, as if he is inactive again, you won't have any attractive alternatives to swap him out with.

  • Posted: 10/26/2018 1:10pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 26.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was not able to play last week because of the injuries but appears to have a decent chance to play in Week 8. He will be a risky option because of his uncertain status but would be a No. 1 fantasy tight end if he is active.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 9:56am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 25, and was seen participating in team drills during the media-viewing portion of workouts.

Huddle Up: Gronk's relatively quiet season got even quieter in Week 7 as he was a late-week scratch due to back injury. But there has been optimism that he'll return in Week 8, and Thursday's practice participation only adds to the optimism. The tricky part is that the Pats don't play until Monday night so fantasy GMs will need to stay attuned.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 10:33am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was held out of practice Wednesday, Oct .24.

Huddle Up: The Patriots aren't going to rush their start tight end back if it means aggravating his injury. If he continues to miss practice then have a contingency plan in place. If someone like C.J. Uzomah or Vance McDonald is available on waivers, they're worth a pickup.

  • Posted: 10/22/2018 11:12am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was sidelined in Week 7 after experiencing back spasms Friday, Oct. 19 - a problem team doctors spent 'a considerable amount of time' trying to alleviate over the weekend. According to a team source, the problem is expected to be a 'short-term thing' and there is hope he will be able to play in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: The Patriots play on Monday night this week, so owners have to hope they get some clarity on the situation before Sunday. Backup Jacob Hollister missed Week 7 with a hamstring injury and Dwayne Allen did not contribute anything statistically in their absence, so owners probably aren't going to find their answer on the Patriots' roster if Gronkowski sits.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 6:10am ET

Confirming previous reports, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) has been declared out for Week 7's game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was able to participate in all three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis but his status was downgraded from questionable to doubtful Saturday, Oct. 20, before ultimately being downgraded again to out Sunday, Oct. 21. He did not travel with the team to Chicago but there is optimism that he will be able to play in Week 8's contest against the Buffalo Bills. Dwayne Allen is expected to start at tight end this afternoon but should not be considered as a viable fantasy option.

  • Posted: 10/20/2018 10:08pm ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) is not expected to play in Week 7 versus the Chicago Bears, but he is expected back to go against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8, according to a source. The idea behind resting him in Week 7 is merely precautionary, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Huddle Up: There was some fear he was going to miss multiple weeks, so while that could still be the case, it doesn't appear as if he is dealing with anything significant. Backup Jacob Hollister has already been ruled out and the Patriots have yet to make Dwayne Allen a big part of the offense, so Gronkowski's owners have little choice but to look elsewhere for a replacement this week.

  • Posted: 10/20/2018 8:54pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) is not expected to play against the Chicago Bears in Week 7, but he is expected to play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Injuries are nothing new for Gronkowski, but at least it sounds like he will only miss a game with this latest ailment. Plug him back in as a TE1 against the Bills next week.

  • Posted: 10/20/2018 1:46pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) did not travel with the team for the Week 7 game against the Chicago Bears, according to a league source. However, he has not yet been ruled out.

Huddle Up: If Gronkowski cannot play it would be Dwayne Allen serving as the starter with Jacob Hollister as the primary backup. Neither player would be particularly attractive from a fantasy perspective.

  • Posted: 10/19/2018 1:42pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski should receive his normal workload this week even though he is dealing with multiple injuries. He has recorded at least 75 yards in each of the last two games and should be a No. 1 tight end in all leagues.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 8:10pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski said he isn't frustrated by his lack of targets in the red zone this year, and he's 'totally satisfied' as long as the team wins.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski only has one touchdown this year, but he has had at least 75 receiving yards in three of the six games and is on pace to top 1,000 yards. The touchdowns will likely come sooner rather than later, but Gronkowski is a TE1 on his yardage alone.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 3:48pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: It appears New England is just managing Gronk's reps, meaning he's in no danger of missing Week 7. As always, he'll be a TE1 when his Patriots travel to Chicago.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 3:57pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski is playing better after a few quiet weeks but still has only one touchdown this season. He should be considered a No. 1 tight end every week as long as he is healthy.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 10:44pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski caught three of his four targets for 97 yards in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was stuck on one reception for 16 yards until deep in the fourth quarter until he hauled in a 42-yarder on the team's second-to-last drive and a 39-yarder with less than a minute remaining to put the Patriots in position for the game-winning field goal. While he has not exactly been his dominant self for fantasy purposes, owners should find some solace defenses are often selling out to stop him. Gronkowski's big game should be coming soon, perhaps as early as Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 6:38am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) is expected to play in Week 6's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report. He has been targeted 14 times in the last two games and should still be viewed as a TE1 in all fantasy formats despite reaching the end zone just once so far this season.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 4:09pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited practice Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski has caught only one touchdown so far this season but has been targeted 14 times in the last two games. He should still be considered a No. 1 tight end in all fantasy leagues despite his quiet start to the season.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 3:07pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was able to take part in practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: Gronk has been battling a nagging injury for a few weeks, but he has been able to play through. He has a four-game streak without a touchdown, but he has four or more grabs in each of his past three games. Despite the fact he hasn't been producing his usual big-time stats, he remains an obvious must-start at a very shallow position in fantasy football.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 10:37pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) had six receptions for 75 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski looked none the worse for wear, posting his best numbers since Week 1 on Thursday night. He'll get a little extra rest prior to lining up with Kansas City in Week 6, which should keep Gronk among the top TE1 options.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 5:14am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) is expected to play Thursday, Oct. 4, in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Gronk has 10 grabs for 110 yards and no touchdowns in the last three games. The Indianapolis Colts are an OK matchup, and he's still a good TE1 option. However, he was limited last week and could be again on a short week.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 2:41pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 3 and is listed as questionable for the Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Gronk is a question mark for this game, so you'll want to circle back around 90 minutes prior to kick and have an alternate ready just in case. If he is inactive at least you'll have a few days to make other plans.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 2:31pm ET

New England Patriots DL Adam Butler (knee), WR Josh Gordon (hamstring), DL Geneo Grissom (ankle), TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle0, TE Jacob Hollister (chest), LB Elandon Roberts (calf), CB Eric Rowe (groin) and DT Danny Shelton (elbow) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3 and are listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Oct. 4.

  • Posted: 10/2/2018 11:53am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was not able to practice Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Huddle Up: Gronk is a tough cookie and he could play without practicing. What's going against him is that the Patriots are on a short week so he doesn't have as much recovery time as usual. If he's active he has to be in starting lineups.

  • Posted: 10/1/2018 2:01pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) missed practice Monday, Oct. 1.

Huddle Up: It's expected that Gronk will be questionable going into Thursday night's contest. He usually toughs it out, but keep an extra finger on the pulse given the short week. Gronk is always a top TE1 option when he's active.

  • Posted: 10/1/2018 10:44am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) is expected to be questionable for Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts despite suffering an ankle injury in Week 4 that kept him from finishing the game.

Huddle Up: There didn't seem to be much alarm about the injury after it happened, and the fact he didn't return was almost entirely based on the fact the Patriots were blowing out the Miami Dolphins at the time. About the only negative is that if the injury is more serious than the team is letting on, he will only have a couple days to get right in time for the Thursday night game against the Colts. Of course, he is elite TE1 play if he goes as expected.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 12:09pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) left the Week 4 game early because of an ankle injury and is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: The Patriots have a big lead in the game, so it is not known if Gronkowski is being held out or if he suffered a new ankle injury. Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Gronkowski will miss more time. He is a No. 1 tight end in all leagues when healthy.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 7:34am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) will play in Week 4's game against the Miami Dolphins, according to a league source.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski had been listed as questionable after participating in three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. He should be viewed as a TE1 in all fantasy formats despite the injury.

  • Posted: 9/28/2018 1:49pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 28, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski should be in uniform for the Week 4 game and will try to be more involved in the passing game. He should be considered a No. 1 tight end in all leagues this week despite the injury.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 2:16pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski should be fine to play in Week 4 but will be looking to make a bigger impact in the passing game against the Miami Dolphins. He should still be a No. 1 tight end in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 3:06pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski should be fine to play in Week 4 but is coming off two disappointing performances. He is still the top tight end in the NFL and should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 7:41am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has only seen double coverage on 26 percent of the 50 routes he has ran in the last two weeks.

Huddle Up: Gronk has six catches for 67 yards the last two weeks, and the offense is not clicking. He's still a high-end TE1, but you can see regression as the field closes in on him.

  • Posted: 9/24/2018 5:40am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski confirmed a report that he was nearly traded to the Detroit Lions, but he wouldn't have reported there or anywhere else. That nixed the deal. 'Yeah it happened,' Gronkowski said. 'Brady's my quarterback.'

Huddle Up: Gronk is starting to lose ground after being in a tier of his own for the last few years in fantasy. He's still a great TE1, but the sputtering offense has drifted him to the pack a bit.

  • Posted: 9/24/2018 12:35am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski caught four of his five targets for 51 yards in Week 3 versus the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Detroit sold out to stop him in critical situations throughout, including using the kind of jam at the line usually reserved for gunners on punt coverage on at least one play late in the game. Owners probably aren't going to be overly thrilled with six catches and 66 scoreless yards combined over the last two weeks, but life is going to get better as soon as defenses have to start accounting for Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman. Gronkowski remains an elite TE1 play in fantasy in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 1:22pm ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was able to practice in full Friday, Sept. 21 and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 3 game with the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Gronkowski is fine to play for fantasy owners, and he'll be looking to bounce back against old friend Matt Patricia after laying an egg in Week 2 against the Jaguars.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 9:42am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) practiced Friday, Sept. 21, and was moving well on his sore ankle.

Huddle Up: No concerns for Gronk, who could be in for a bounce-back week after a poor Week 2 (2 catches-15 yards) against the Jaguars.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 5:02am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) isn't believed to have a concerning ankle injury.

Huddle Up: He'll be fine for Week 3, and he'll face a midrange Detroit Lions defense against the position. He's a top-tier TE1 in fantasy.
