Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones will not attend mandatory minicamp this week.

Huddle Up: Jones continues to wait for a new contract, but he has said that he wants to be a Falcon and loves the team he's on. It's hard to believe Jones would hold out too far into the offseason. He's too valuable to Atlanta and would lose too much money. Keep drafting him as a top three to five wide receiver.

  • Posted: 5/27/2018 6:36pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones said there is 'no bad blood' between he and the organization, and he has simply been working on his own instead of attending OTAs. 'I'm not going nowhere, man,' Jones said. 'I love the team.'

Huddle Up: Jones has topped 1,400 receiving yards in each of the last four seasons, and he is firmly entrenched as a high-end WR1. Don't expect any potential issues about his contract to change his production on the field.

  • Posted: 5/22/2018 12:10pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is expected to be present at minicamp after skipping organized team activities, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Huddle Up: OTAs are voluntary, after all, and it's not uncommon for important, veteran players to miss them. Jones remains one of the top three wide receivers in the NFL and should be drafted as such.

  • Posted: 5/21/2018 10:19am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones was not present for organized team activities Monday, May 21, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Jones is looking for a better contract but has been in contact with head coach Dan Quinn, so he probably will participate in at least the mandatory June minicamp. Jones will be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues in 2018 and likely will be selected in one of the first two rounds.

  • Posted: 5/18/2018 7:22pm ET

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is not expected to participate in organized team activities in part because he wants the team to update his contract. Jones has been in regular contact with head coach Dan Quinn and the team is open to updating Jones' contract. Jones is scheduled to make $10.5 million in 2018.

Huddle Up: It appears that Jones is on good terms with the team but could sit out the rest of offseason workouts. Jones is one of the best receivers in the NFL and should be a first- or second-round pick in all fantasy drafts in 2018.

  • Posted: 5/18/2018 1:48pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is not expected to report for organized team activities next week, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Jones is looking for a new contract, so he may not be on the practice field until training camp. He is a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues as long as he does not hold out during the season.

  • Posted: 4/19/2018 10:48am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is not participating in the voluntary offseason program this week. Head coach Dan Quinn said he already knew Jones wouldn't be at the program.

Huddle Up: Not a big deal. Jones will be there when the activities are mandatory. He deserves to be one of the first few wide receivers taken in fantasy drafts despite notching just three touchdowns last season. That number will assuredly increase this year.

  • Posted: 1/16/2018 12:09pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) will not participate in the 2018 Pro Bowl due to his nagging ankle injury. Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams will take Jones' place in the Pro Bowl.

Huddle Up: Jones is dealing with other issues, too, so it makes sense that the Falcons would want to rest him instead of aggravating something in a game that doesn't count for anything. As long as Jones is fully healthy, he should be one of the first few wide receivers selected in fantasy drafts next season.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 5:06pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught nine passes for 101 yards in the Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: Jones has been one of the best receivers in the NFL over the last several seasons even though he has dealt with some injuries. He will be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues next season and could be a first-round pick.

  • Posted: 1/11/2018 11:10am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Jan. 11, but is not on the injury report for the Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Jones will take the field on Saturday as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks to his ankle injury. Jones can succeed against any cornerback and any defense, so don't let the Philadelphia Eagles elite defense cause you to completely rule out Jones.

  • Posted: 1/10/2018 2:07pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Huddle Up: Jones probably does not need a lot of practice time to prepare for the Divisional Round playoff game and should be ready to play. He likely will be a No. 1 fantasy receiver in all leagues this week.

  • Posted: 1/9/2018 6:48am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) will not practice Tuesday, Jan. 9, but head coach Dan Quinn said there was no injury setback after the Wild Card game.

Huddle Up: With Antonio Brown (calf) banged up, Jones could be the top receiver left in the playoffs. He had five grabs for 80 yards last week and remains a WR1 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Posted: 1/6/2018 8:41pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught nine passes on 10 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in a 26-13 win over the Los Angeles Rams Saturday, Jan. 6.

Huddle Up: Jones didn't have many big plays, but he still put his stamp on the game. He'll be an elite fantasy option as long as Atlanta remains alive in the playoffs.

  • Posted: 1/4/2018 3:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, ribs) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 4. However, the team declared he'll be all systems go for the team's playoff game Saturday, Jan. 6, versus the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Jones' status for the Wild Card round was never in doubt at all, and his limited practice time leading up to Saturday's affair was just standard protocol for the elite fifth-year wide-out. As always, Jones will be a desirable WR1 to have in DFS formats, even despite posting only three touchdowns on the season. Matt Ryan is statistically one of the best postseason quarterbacks ever and Jones should benefit from that.

  • Posted: 1/3/2018 1:23pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, ribs) was limited in practice Wednesday, Jan 3.

Huddle Up: Jones has been a beast in his postseason career, but he faces a difficult test in Los Angeles Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson and a stout Rams pass defense. As for next year, Jones is a strong WR1 candidate despite managing just three touchdowns this season.

  • Posted: 1/3/2018 12:48pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is the only player in NFL history to achieve multiple playoff games with at least 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Huddle Up: Jones is a mismatch for whoever is covering him, but he'll have his hands full this weekend against Los Angeles Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson. Looking ahead, Jones comfortably remains in the WR1 conversation for 2018 despite scoring just three times this season.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 2:34pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Jones appears to be on track to play in Week 17 and should have a big role in the passing game since the team is fighting for a playoff spot. He should be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues this week.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 11:42am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) said he will be good to go for Week 17 despite dealing with ankle and thumb injuries.

Huddle Up: The Falcons will need Jones as they look to hold on to their playoff spot. Even in a relatively disappointing year for Jones, he still easily finished in WR1 territory. He remains a perennial WR1 going into the new year.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 3:18pm ET

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Initial reports are that he go limited, but he didn't even do that. It's uncertain if he suffered a setback in Week 16, although it certainly didn't appear so. The team could simply be preserving him for the big game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 6:27pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught seven passes on 11 targets for 149 yards in a 23-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 16.

Huddle Up: It has been feast or famine for Jones this year, but he still has one of the highest ceilings of any receiver. Deploy him as a WR1 in Week 17 against a Carolina Panthers defense that he put up 118 yards on earlier this year.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 3:53pm ET

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, but is not on the injury report.

Huddle Up: Jones will be able to play despite the injury and should be a starting option all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 9:27am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) will play as expected in Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Jones was locked up in Marshon Lattimore's shadow coverage for much of their Week 14 matchup and came away with five catches for 96 scoreless yards. The fact Matt Ryan has played particularly well this year coupled with the fact Jones is less than 100 percent and will draw the attention of one of the league's top corners doesn't make the star receiver overly appealing this week, but the upside is always going to be huge with the considerable talent he possesses. He's a fringe WR1 play this week.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 3:05pm ET

Contrary to a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, thumb) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Jones should be ready to play in Week 16 despite the injuries. He continues to be one of the best receivers in the NFL and should be a starting option in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 9:50am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) will not practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Jones should be fine for the divisional matchup against the New Orleans Saints. He has a great matchup against a struggling Saints secondary that may be without Kenny Vaccaro (wrist, groin) this week. Jones hasn't been the stud he usually is, but he's still a solid WR1 this week.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 9:18pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones finished with just three catches on eight targets for 54 yards in the team's Week 15 win Monday, Dec. 18, versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Huddle Up: Jones is typically as reliable as any WR1 there's been in recent memory but this outing during the fantasy playoffs can only be viewed as extremely disappointing, especially after he diced up Tampa Bay's defense for 253 yards and a pair of scores only three weeks ago. Clearly, the Bucs prepared for the elite receiver differently this time around, leading to his underwhelming stat line and frustrating countless fantasy owners in the process.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 12:35pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has averaged 123.6 yards in his career against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's the highest averaged career yards per game for any player versus another team in NFL history. In Week 12, Jones racked up 253 yards and two touchdowns against Tampa Bay.

Huddle Up: Jones is primed for a great outing tonight. He destroys the Bucs no matter how good they are defensively, but they rank last this year against the wide receiver position. It will be a surprise if Jones doesn't turn in a WR1 performance.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 9:25pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught five passes for 98 yards against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, Dec. 7. He was targeted a team-high 11 times.

Huddle Up: After getting shut down by Minnesota, Jones rebounded with a solid night's work against the Saints. While Jones has only three 100-plus-yard games on the year, Thursday marked the third time he's finished in the 90s. He'll be a strong WR1 next week against the same Buccaneers squad he eviscerated for 253 yards and two scores back in Week 12.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 2:00pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught two passes for 24 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13.

Huddle Up: Jones was being covered by Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes, which can explain his disappointing performance. He should have a better outing against the New Orleans Saints next week and should be a starting option in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 12:33pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 1, but is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Jones will see his usual workload but likely will be covered by Minnesota Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes for most of the game. He should still be a No. 1 receiver in all leagues, but owners may want to lower their expectations a bit because of the matchup.

  • Posted: 11/30/2017 4:05pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) was limited in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Nov. 30.

Huddle Up: This is just standard protocol for one of the league's most talented players. Following his monstrous outburst this past weekend against the Buccaneers, owners should obviously continue to ride Jones as their WR1 and hope for the same significant results against a stout Vikings defense.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 6:21pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones recorded 250 or more receiving yards in a game for the third time in his career with his performance in the team's Week 12 game Sunday, Nov. 26, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. No other player in NFL history has ever done it more than once.

Huddle Up: As continually stressed, Jones was well overdue to post some monster numbers and touchdowns, and owners who stuck with him through the long haul were handsomely rewarded this past Sunday afternoon. Given his otherworldly talents, there's probably a lot more where that came from, so just keep firing up Jones as a WR1 with the utmost confidence.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 3:02pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Huddle Up: Jones was likely just taking it easy on his ankle, and there isn't much to worry about. He was the NFC Offensive Player of Week 12 with his giant 12-253-2 stat line, and very quietly he is now over 1,000 yards receiving for the season.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 1:59pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught 12 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Jones was having a solid season entering Week 12 but had a breakout performance against the Buccaneers. He is one of the best receivers in the NFL and should be a No. 1 receiver even though he will be facing a tough Minnesota Vikings defense.

  • Posted: 11/24/2017 3:33pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited in practice for the third consecutive day Friday, Nov. 24.

Huddle Up: This is just the team managing Jones' reps, as he's perfectly fine for Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers. Considering Tampa Bay is surrendering more passing yards than all but one team this season, Jones may deliver one of his trademark big stat lines. He's overdue for some touchdowns as well, so hopefully Week 12 begins his resurgence in that department.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 3:21pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Jones should be fine for the team's Week 12 game and should have a big role in the passing game. He can be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues this week.

  • Posted: 11/22/2017 3:19pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: Jones likely will be limited during most of the week but should be in uniform in Week 12. He is one of the best receivers in the NFL and should be a No. 1 fantasy receiver in all leagues.

  • Posted: 11/20/2017 9:01pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones recorded five catches on 10 targets for 71 yards in the team's Week 11 victory Monday, Nov. 20, against the Seattle Seahawks.

Huddle Up: Once again, Jones was held without a touchdown, and as a result, he shockingly remains stuck on one for the season. At the same time, he continues to get his usual massive number of looks, especially when compared to the rest of the offense, as no one else drew more than four targets for the game. It's been a frustrating time owning Jones but owners just need to show patience and keep trotting him out there. The touchdowns will come.

  • Posted: 11/18/2017 5:24pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) had limited participation in practice Saturday, Nov. 18.

Huddle Up: Jones is one of those players that you must start unless the injury report reads 'out' next to his name. He may not get all the reps in, but come game time Jones will get the job done.

  • Posted: 11/17/2017 2:14pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: Jones has been taking it easy in recent weeks during practice, but he hasn't missed any game time as a result of his nagging ankle injury. When active he is an obvious must-start fantasy option regardless of matchup.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 4:04pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Despite having just one touchdown on the year, Jones can still be a strong WR1 option on any given week, especially this one as he'll be facing a Seahawks defense that will be missing a couple of key players. Jones is overdue for some scores, so hopefully that number begins to ascend towards its norm on Monday.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 9:51am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) will be limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Jones is still productive, but his one touchdown has limited his appeal after being taken as a stud WR1. He remains a low-end WR1 against the Seattle Seahawks this week.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 8:51pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones posted six receptions for 57 yards on eight targets in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Jones has scored just one touchdown this season, and he has just two 100-yard games. Overall, his numbers aren't bad for a regular wide receiver, but not a consensus first-round fantasy pick. He is averaging 6.0 receptions per game over the past five outings to give PPR owners a boost lately, but he is not helping standard owners as much. He faces a dinged up Legion of Boom in Week 11 on Monday night.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 7:26pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) looked 'explosive' in his return to practice Friday, Nov. 10, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Huddle Up: Not that you need to be talked into starting Jones, but it's still nice to hear that he performed well in practice. It's also nice that Atlanta faces the Dallas Cowboys in what is projected to be one of the highest-scoring games of Week 10.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 2:31pm ET

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 10, but he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 10 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Jones did enough to satisfy the coaching staff and he'll be on the field for Sunday's showdown against the Cowboys. Dallas ranks 18th in the NFL in pass defense, yielding 223.4 yards per game with 14 touchdowns, while also giving up 24 pass plays of 20 or more yards.

  • Posted: 11/10/2017 8:19am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) is on the practice field Friday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: It's unknown whether he'll be limited or not, but it's a good sign for him to suit up in Week 10. The Dallas Cowboys have been a little susceptible to WRs the last five weeks, but they're still a midrange matchup. Jones has one touchdown on the year and has more value in PPR as a WR1 than in other formats.

  • Posted: 11/9/2017 2:19pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: Jones probably is receiving some time off and should be ready to play in Week 10. He continues to be one of the best receivers in the NFL and should be a No. 1 receiver in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/8/2017 10:18am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (leg) did not practice with the team Wednesday, Nov. 8, but he did participate in the walk-through portion.

Huddle Up: Given that he played through the injury in Week 9, it's reasonable to assume he'll find a way to go in Week 10 versus the Dallas Cowboys. However, it is entirely possible the team doesn't turn him loose until Friday, so owners may have to wait until then to find out his fate for the weekend. If he doesn't play, Mohamed Sanu and Taylor Gabriel would stand to benefit for fantasy purposes, while the Falcons could choose to lean a bit more on their running game.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 11:46am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (leg) played through a lower leg injury in the Falcons' Week 9 win, according to head coach Dan Quinn. He will be limited in practice this week.

Huddle Up: Even with the injury Jones had one of the best games of his season, tallying 118 yards on six catches. If he can do that when he's not fully healthy then fantasy owners shouldn't be concerned as long as Jones is active for games.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 2:15pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones hauled in six receptions for 118 yards on a game-high 12 targets in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: The 100-yard game was nice, but Jones dropped a touchdown in the back of the end zone in the fourth quarter when he was wide open. It could have been a much, much bigger day for No. 11. Still, it's just his second 100-yard game of the season, so fantasy owners can be pleased with that. The Falcons host the Cowboys in Week 10.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 1:29pm ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught three passes for 74 yards against the New York Jets in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Jones has gone five games without a 100-yard performance, but he has still been a solid contributor for fantasy owners. He should be considered a No. 1 fantasy receiver next week against the Carolina Panthers.
