Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed for 42 yards on 19 carries and scored three times on Sunday, Sept. 16, against the Arizona Cardinals. Gurley added three catches for 31 yards.

Huddle Up: Gurley's 2.2 YPC was an eyesore, but when it's attached to a three-touchdown afternoon it doesn't much matter. While cramps ended his day prematurely, given the score it's debatable how much more he would've been used anyway. Going forward he's a surefire RB1 in all leagues.

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (cramps) rushed 19 times for 42 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals, but he left early with cramps.

Huddle Up: Gurley checked out early, but it was likely a precaution that he did not return, as the game was out of hand and there was no sense risking further injury with the game already decided. The Rams battle the Chargers in Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 4:55pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Gurley returned to practice after a day off and should receive plenty of touches this week against the Arizona Cardinals. He should be a No. 1 running back in all leagues no matter the opponent.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 5:59pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Nothing to see here, as Gurley is perfectly healthy entering the Rams' Week 2 showdown with the Cardinals. As is the case on any given week, he'll be one of the top RB1 options on the board.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 10:34pm ET

Los Angels Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 20 times for 108 yards in the Week 1 game against the Oakland Raiders on Monday, Sept. 10 and he added three grabs for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Huddle Up: Gurley certainly looked the part of early first-round fantasy pick, and any owner who made the miscue of selecting Le'Veon Bell ahead of Gurley likely spent the entire weekend just shaking their head. Gurley will look to carve up the Cardinals in Week 2 at the Coliseum.

  • Posted: 8/25/2018 12:12pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley will be held out of the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 25 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: The Rams know what their starters can do, especially a stud like Gurley. They'll use the third preseason game to evaluate some of their other players fighting for jobs instead. Gurley will be looking to build upon his amazing 2017 season when he totaled 1,305 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns with 64 receptions, 788 yards and six scores.

  • Posted: 8/23/2018 12:35pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (rest) will not play at all this preseason, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Huddle Up: The Rams don't want to risky anything with their franchise running back, so they'll wait to unleash him until Week 1. Gurley should be one of the first two players selected in fantasy drafts coming off a monster career year.

  • Posted: 7/24/2018 10:50am ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year extension worth $60 million - including $45 million guaranteed - on Tuesday, July 24.

Huddle Up: This reported deal would reset the market for running backs and would trump the annual average value of what the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly offered Le'Veon Bell. Gurley was the top fantasy back in football last year and could easily do so again in 2017. This extension will keep him in Los Angeles through the end of the 2023 season.

  • Posted: 7/7/2018 7:24pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley's 343 touches were the third most in the NFL last season, and Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com expects Gurley to remain the 'backbone' of the offense and handle a similar workload in 2018.

Huddle Up: Gurley blossomed as an every-down back in Sean McVay's offense, topping 2,000 total yards and scoring 19 times. He is firmly in the conversation to be the No. 1 overall pick in drafts.

  • Posted: 5/29/2018 8:46pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley amassed a NFL-high 39 carries of at least 10 yards in 2017, four more than second-place Kareem Hunt and five more than third-place Melvin Gordon.

Huddle Up: Gurley ran wild in his first season under the direction of Sean McVay, rushing for 420 more yards in 2017 despite recording only one more carry than he did the previous season. The Rams are set to return the same five offensive linemen who paved the way for him, making Gurley an easy back to love in fantasy. While he is most likely going to take a hit in the touchdown department after scoring 19 last season, he is well worth taking No. 1 overall in drafts.

  • Posted: 2/3/2018 6:13pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley was named the 2017 Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year Saturday, Feb. 3.

Huddle Up: With Sean McVay at the helm, Gurley was unleashed as an every-down weapon in 2017, and he led the NFL in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. He'll be in the mix for the top pick in 2018.

  • Posted: 1/6/2018 8:32pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 14 times for 101 yards and caught four passes for 10 yards in a 26-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Saturday, Jan. 6.

Huddle Up: Gurley led the NFL in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns in 2017, and he should be one of the first players off the board in 2018 as the centerpiece of the suddenly potent Rams offense.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 1:15pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley is the third running back ever to gain at least 2,000 yards from scrimmage and at least 19 total touchdowns at 23 years old or younger. The other two running backs to accomplish the feat were Hall of Fame RBs Eric Dickerson and Emmitt Smith.

Huddle Up: It was a season for the ages for Gurley, who won't even play the season finale this week. His name can now be mentioned with Le'Veon Bell, David Johnson and Antonio Brown as the players most deserving of the No. 1 choice in 2018 fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 5:25pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley will not play in the team's Week 17 game, according to head coach Sean McVay.

Huddle Up: The Rams want to make sure Gurley is ready for the playoffs, so he will not play against the San Francisco 49ers. Malcolm Brown probably will receive most of the work at running back and could be a flex option in most leagues.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 7:36am ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley could sit out of the Week 17 contest against the San Francisco 49ers after head coach Sean McVay said there will be starters that won't play at all.

Huddle Up: Malcolm Brown could be worth a flex start in the season finale. However, be advised that the 49ers have been ridiculously good against the position the last five weeks. They've allowed the least amount of points to RBs over the stretch.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 2:46pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 22 times for 118 yards in Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans and he added 10 receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley has been a fantasy beast and one-man wrecking crew for those in the playoffs, posting 270 rushing yards and three scores over the past two games while adding 13 grabs for 186 yards and three more scores through the air.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 8:44pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 21 times for 152 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown in a 42-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Gurley has been a must-start RB1 all year, but this was a big game even by his standards.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 8:54pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 13 times for 96 yards with two touchdowns in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles and he was able to add three receptions for 39 yards on five targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley had another big performance, and it was especially impressive since the Eagles entered as the NFL's top rushing defense. He remains a bona fide RB1 in all fantasy leagues after being a total bust in 2016.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 8:52pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 19 times for 74 yards in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals and he added six receptions for a team-high 84 yards on seven targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley has over 100 total scrimmage yards in six of the past seven outings, although he has failed to score in back-to-back for just the second time this season. After a disappointing 2016 he has emerged as a legitimate RB1 in across all fantasy formats, especially PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 8:01pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 17 times for 74 yards and caught four passes 54 yards in a 26-20 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Other than not finding the end zone, it's tough to complain about Gurley's final line. Expect another RB1 effort from him in Week 13 in rematch with an Arizona Cardinals team that he torched for 154 total yards and a score the first time around.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 3:37pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley was limited to 37 rushing yards on 15 attempts in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, but he did score the team's only touchdown.

Huddle Up: Gurley also chipped in with three receptions for 19 yards on four targets. He'll look for even better results in Week 12 at home in a potential shootout against the Saints.

  • Posted: 11/12/2017 7:56pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley ran 11 times for 68 yards and caught six passes for 68 yards in a 33-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10.

Huddle Up: The Rams didn't need Gurley to carry the ball much with Jared Goff carving up Houston. Fortunately, Gurley's involvement in the passing game this year allows him to produce RB1 numbers no matter how the game develops.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 1:29pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries against the New York Giants in Week 9. He also caught two passes for 45 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: Gurley has recorded at least 100 total yards in six of the eight games this season and has three touchdowns in the last two games. He can be considered a No. 1 fantasy running back against the Houston Texans in Week 10.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 5:18pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 22 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals in London and he added four grabs for 48 yards on eight targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley was a complete bust from a fantasy perspective last season, at least based upon where he was drafted in most leagues. This season he slipped on draft day a bit and has paid off handsomely. His absence will be a big hole for fantasy owners in the bye in Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/21/2017 8:38pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley faces the Arizona Cardinals in London in Week 7, and he said the NFL needs to stop overseas games.

Huddle Up: Gurley might be unhappy with the lengthy travel, but that shouldn't stop him from producing. He has rushed for more 100 yards in three of his last four games, and he has delivered at least 96 yards from scrimmage in five of his six games this year. Plug him in as a RB1.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 8:46pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 23 times for 116 yards in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and he added one catch for four yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Gurley had a disastrous season from a fantasy perspective in 2016, but he has been a bona fide RB1 in all fantasy formats this season. He'll look to keep it rolling in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals over in England.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 8:56pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 14 times for 43 yards in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks and he added two receptions for seven yards on four targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley was attempting to reach for the goal line early in the game, lost the handle at the 1-yard line and the ball hit the pylon and was given to the Seahawks. He'll look to get back on track in Week 6 on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Posted: 10/7/2017 6:49pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley said the 'sky's the limit' for their offense, and he credits head coach Sean McVay's ability to spread the ball around for their success this year.

Huddle Up: Gurley is off to a great start, and he is locked in as a RB1 in Week 5 against a Seattle Seahawks defense that is allowing 5.0 yards per carry and 134.0 rushing yards per game.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 5:27pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 23 times for 121 yards in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys and he added seven receptions for a team-high 94 yards and a score on eight targets.

Huddle Up: Gurley was a huge bust in 2016 from a fantasy perspective, but his failures in the run game were likely a result of the passing game struggling mightily. Jared Goff has been much better this season, opening up more open spaces for Gurley to roam.

  • Posted: 9/21/2017 9:15pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley carried the ball 28 times for 113 yards (4.0 YPC) and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. Gurley added 36 yards and another score on five receptions.

Huddle Up: Incredibly, this was Gurley's first 100-plus-yard rushing game since Dec. 13, 2015, against the Lions (a span of 20 games). He now leads the NFL in touchdowns with six and is averaging 127 total yards per game. If you're looking for an asterisk it's that Gurley fumbled for the third straight contest and fourth time this year. Still, after a dismal 2016 he's looking like a legitimate workhorse and viable RB1.

  • Posted: 9/21/2017 8:54pm ET

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley finished with 28 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns and added five catches for 36 yards and a score in a 41-39 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Gurley now has as many touchdowns in three games this year as he did in all of 2016. He is quickly looking like a weekly RB1 option in all formats once again.
